Stephen Micheu - Founder & Director

Stephen Micheu

Clinical Psychologist Pastor Child & Adolescent Mental Health Advocate

Stephen Micheu is a Clinical Psychologist with an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nairobi, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. He has over 20 years of nursing experience at a national Level 6 referral hospital and additional training in Community Health Evangelism and Christian Leadership.

He currently works as a therapist supporting adolescents and youth, while also serving as a pastor overseeing children's ministry. He leads and mentors Sunday school teachers and is passionate about nurturing children's spiritual, emotional, and psychological well-being.

As founder of HCATI, Stephen equips children's workers with practical skills to support children, including those with neurodevelopmental challenges. He has trained approximately 200 teachers and authored three Sunday school teaching guides.

Trainer – Children Ministers Institute (CMI)

Pastor Margaret is a high school teacher, Head of Guidance and Counselling, and an Educational Psychologist with a Master of Education in Psychology. She serves as a pastor at Treasure Center Church and equips teachers with practical skills in child development and behaviour management.

Leon Owade

Leon Owade

Trainer & Children's Minister

Leon holds an MSc in Chemistry and a BSc in Analytical Chemistry with Management. He is a certified Children's Minister with training from CMI and Deliverance Church Embakasi. He is also a self-taught programmer in Python, CSS, and HTML, and skilled in R programming for statistics.

Clare holds an M.A. in Child Development and has over 15 years of experience as a Sunday school teacher. She is a Certified Positive Parenting TOT under the National Positive Parenting Programme and has 10+ years of experience working with child-based organizations.

Rev. Celestine holds an MA in Pastoral Theology and specialized training in Children's Ministry. She is a Certified Procurement and Supplies Professional (CPSP-K) and holds a BSc in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. She is passionate about raising godly children and strengthening families.

Emmily works as an Editorial Assistant at the African Journal of Food, Agriculture, Nutrition and Development (AJFAND). She holds a degree in Communication/Sociology from the University of Nairobi and a certificate in Public Relations. She is passionate about training Sunday school teachers to nurture and make disciples of Christ.
